...Justa Little Twisted has made the finals at the NRBC for the second year in a row. She carried Victoria Lambert thru the Intermediate and Limited Non-Pro finals, placing 9th in the Limited and 12th in the Intermediate.

NRBC Open Classic
...the derby action was exciting at the 2006 NRBC Derby. Entering the arena last in the field of outstanding horses, Memorable Affair did not disappoint her fans. Even though she had a slight bauble in a rollback, she still was the top placing mare. Memorable Affair ended up 13th out of a tough field of open horses.She was one of only two mares that even made it back to the open finals.

After all the excitement of the Classic, Open riders were ready to "go again" in the Open Class Sunday morning. Jordan Larson won the class with Carl Lambert's good mare, Custom Nifty Nic.

NRHA Non Pro Derby
At the 2006 National Reining Horse Association Non Pro Derby in Oklahoma City, Tejons Sugar Pine made Limited Non Pro and Intermediate Non Pro finals, scoring a 215.5 in the first go. Placing 8th in the Limited Non Pro and 14th in the Intermediate Non Pro.

A Nifty Run takes home the Limited Non Pro Derby Championship
at the Reining Sparktacular

Niftyly running through the pattern, Custom Nifty Nic brings home a championship
in the Limited Non Pro Derby and Reserve Championship in the Intermediate Derby
Custom Nifty Nic carried Victoria Lambert to an exciting win at the 2006 Reining Sparktacular Limited Non-Pro Derby. With the class starting off with a real bang when Non Pro Sarah Johnson scored a 147. This stellar run was followed with Intermediate Non Pro Kim Horn marking a 144. Not to be intimidated, Victoria and her beautiful bay mare, Custom Nifty Nic followed and marked a 143.5 to win the Limited Non Pro Championship, be Intermediate Non Pro Reserve Champion and place third in the Non Pro.
Victoria was excited as she stated that "this weekend was the first time I have ever ridden Nifty and I am just thrilled with the outcome."
Our trainer has trained Nifty since we purchased her in her two-year old year and he knew that she was talented enough to mark a big score, yet kind enough to put up with a beginning Non Pro like myself."

Justa Little Twisted Captures Prime Time

At the 2006 OKRHA Sparktaculer Justa Little Twisted took Carl Lambert to his first Derby win, capturing the Non Pro Prime Derby award. This was the first time that Carl ever showed Justa Little Twisted, and we are sure this team will continue to make trips to the winners circle.

Tejons Sugar Pine RMRHA Open Derby Stallion Stakes Champion
Tejons Sugar Pine, owned by Victoria Lambert and ridden by Jordan Larson, take the Open Derby Stallion Stakes championship in the mile high city. With a sweet run they swept the competition and took home top honors.

Mares lead the way at the 2006 One HOT Reining Open Futurity
At the inaugural One HOT Reining Open Futurity the mares came out on top. Leading the way was Clint Haverty with Shesa Perfect Diamond and a score of 146.5. Chics Lady Kiper, owned by Carl Lambert of Caballo Rojo Ranch, was hot on her heels with a score of 146. Both mares had great runs and made this first reining held at the HOT Fair complex in Waco an exciting and competitive event.

She Supreme Chic Reigns Supreme
The Open Derby at the One HOT Reining proved to also be a really hot event. She Supreme Chic, owned by Carl Lambert and ridden by Jordan Larson, reigned supreme with a score of 147.5. This Smart Chic Olena mare tied for the Open Derby Championship with The Hollywood Dream, shown by Nathan Piper.

Las Vegas Reining Classic Open Futurity
The 2006 Las Vegas Reining Classic Open Futurity had a virtual who's who of reining competing on some truly spectacular horses. Leading the pack was Craig Schmersal on Lethal Surprise. He was followed by Bill Norwood on Smart Lynx Chic, Pierre-Luc Phaneuf on Mr. Tivio Whiz and Jordan Larson on Chics Sonata. The high scoring mare was Chics Sonata, owned by Carl Lambert of Caballo Rojo Ranch. Chics Sonata is a daughter of Smart Chic Olena and out of a daughter of Grays Starlight

Las Vegas Reining Classic Non Pro Derby
The 2006 Las Vegas Reining Classic Non Pro Derby proved to be a tough class. With great horses and riders it was an exciting event. With a score of 217.5 Carl Lambert and Justa Little Twisted took home the Reserve Championship in the Prime Time Non Pro, 3rd in the Limited Non Pro and 8th in both the Non Pro and the Intermediate Non Pro. Justa Little Twisted is a maternal sister to Setting Off Sparks and by Dun It With A Twist. Carl Lambert said of the mare, "She is a really physical mare that I know will always go in the show pen and try her hardest." Victoria Lambert traded horses with her husband and rode his good mare Custom Nifty Nic to a 5th place finish in the Limited Non Pro Derby. Custom Nifty Nic is by Custom Crome and out of Brennas Nifty Nic.

TRHA Non Pro Futurity
The first ever TRHA Futurity was certainly a success. With a large number of entries and a lot of competition the Great Southwest Arena saw a lot of excellent reining today. In the Limited Non Pro Futurity Chics Lady Kiper and Victoria Lambert took home the Reserve Championship "This is the second time I have shown this mare and she just keeps getting better and better" said Lambert of the Smart Chic Olena mare out ofBoomers Lady Kiper.

SWRHA Non Pro Futurity
Chics Lady Kiper carried Victoria Lambert to a Reserve Championship at the 2006 SWRHA Limited Non Pro Futurity as well as finishing third in the Intermediate Futurity and sixth in the Non Pro futurity. "She was such a good girl, really easy and honest" said Lambert of the Smart Chic Olena mare out of Boomers Lady Kiper. Earlier this year Chics Lady Kiper and Victoria Lambert had taken home the Reserve Limited Non-Pro Champion at the Texas Reining Horse Futurity.
